One of the German giant has blinked the new look of their fast runner, i.e BMW R1200GS. This sports tourer has great appeal which is now enhanced further for its 2015 launch. The current version of this monster is retuned for 2015. The tuning parameters are related to a new crankshaft which is heavier by 3 pounds than the last generation one. This crankshaft was introduced firstly in the Adventure version of this bike.
The features added to this bike included some really new and advanced options. The R1200GS received an optional quick shifter, seat height adjuster and keyless start function. These functions are introduced to both the variants of this bike i.e. R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure. The heavier crankshaft promises about the better gyration and sebaceous performance, while the keyless function looks for the engine start/stop, steering lock/unlock and fuel tank lid functioning. The BMW R1200GS is available in a good number of colors including Black Storm Metallic, Alpine White and Frozen Dark Blue Metallic.
Another function which has been added to this bike is the smart gear shift which is named as “Shift Assistance pro”. With this system, rider doesn’t need to retard the accelerator while shifting up. This makes the motorbike move on without losing the torque. The downshift is managed by double clutching system. Apart from all these features, the BMW R1200GS has a lowered seat which, if not appreciated by the rider, can be changed with the regular one.
