The all-new Tata Tiago that has been scheduled to be launched on 28th of March 2016, is now taking bookings before the final delivery to the customers. The booking is open at a payment of INR 11,000 at Tata dealerships. According to the reports, the hatchback will be launched on March 28 and the deliveries will be carried out in couple of days soon after the launch. The dealerships have already started carrying out free test drives for the potential customers.
Initially, the Tata Tiago will lie in between the Bolt and Nano model. It comes powered by a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine plus a 1.05-litre three-cylinder Revotron diesel engine. The petrol trim churns out a maximum power output of 85 PS and a peak torque of 114 Nm. While the diesel trim delivers a power of 70 PS along with a peak torque of 140 Nm. The engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmissions.
The Tata Tiago is being manufactured at Tata Motors Sanand plant located in Gujarat. The automaker had already produced more than 1,800 units. Once launched, the hatchback will rival against the likes of Hyundai Grand i10, Maruti Celerio, and Chevrolet Beat. Tiago will be priced in between INR 3.9 Lakhs to INR 5.5. Lacs, ex-showroom.
