CES, an abbreviation for the Consumer Electronic Show, is just around the corner starting from the first week of January 2017 thus almost every major tech and electronic giants appears to be coming to the show with their latest invention. Mercedes-Benz also one of them which is going to make its appearance there along with a number of innovations that includes connectivity, autonomous, electronic drive and shared & service.
Basically, the automaker is coming up there with its new corporate strategy CASE that refers to Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Service and Electric Drive. “Our notion of mobility will change more dramatically in the next five to ten years than in the preceding 50,” said Ola Källenius, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and, also take responsibilities for Group Research and Mercedes-Benz Cars Development from January 2017.
“Our CASE strategy will help us to shape the future of mobility. The objective is to make the car a platform for future mobility concepts and a space that offers a digital experience. The car of the future must be networked, autonomous, emissions-free and deliver the possibility of shared mobility.”
Under the banner, the renowned German tech giant is going to take covers off from its two latest iteration - The Concept EQ and the Mercedes-Benz Vision Van. The former was also unveiled at the earlier concluded 2016 Paris Motor Show and “Generation EQ is hot and Cool” said Gorden Wagener, Head of Design at Daimler AG. On the other hand, the Vision Van is the company’s concept of future electric vans. According to Benz, it is, “a revolutionary van study for urban use, combines a wealth of innovative technologies for 'last mile' deliveries."
Apart from these above-mentioned concept sharing the stage for the first time, Mercedes-Benz will use the same stage to demonstrate something called as ‘Fit&Healthy’. Under this banner, the company intends to present a vision of increasing society's health consciousness and how it can be intelligently combined with future mobility. Basically, Mercedes-Benz is thinking of providing here future mobility along with health options.
