The upcoming model will stand on M300 platform while it will borrow other styling cues from the fourth generation Beat. It is likely to share the same mechanical configuration employed in its hatchback sibling. This would mean that under the hood, there is going to be 1 litre, 3-cylinder SDE engine. This powertrain is capable of producing 56.3 Bhp at 4000 rpm pumping out a torque measuring 142.5 Nm at 1750 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels via both automatic and manual transmission systems.

Chevrolet is reportedly investing a lot of money in the growing markets like India. It is planning to come up with 10 new models within next 5 years in India. All these vehicles are going to be manufactured locally in the country. The next vehicle to be launched by the automaker is the SUV model Trailblazer, which will arrive to the Indian market by the month of October this year. Talking about the upcoming Beat sedan, it will not replace the current hatchback sibling. In fact, both the models will co-exist in the market.
