Both the two-wheeler makers have several iconic products, which include commuter motorcycles, sports motorcycles and scooter. Furthermore, recently, the Honda has introduced its all-new 110cc commuter motorcycle named Honda Livo, whereas, Hero's latest offering iSmart, which is blessed with unique technology namely Ideal Start and Stop System (i3S). Will the Honda Livo debate the Hero iSmart in the battleground?

The analogue instrument console is inspired by the Dream series, which consist of speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge. The motorcycle has received alloy wheels at the both ends. The Honda Livo has borrowed some design and body cues from CB Unicorn and CB Twister. The company offering the motorcycle is four shades such as Athletic Blue Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Sunset Brown Metallic and Black.

The iSmart is a successor of popular motorcycle, named Hero Splendor, which has given a number of hits in two-wheeler market in terms of sales. The impressive look and dynamic performance are the important key features of the new Hero Splendor iSmart. The motorcycle is featured with attractive dual-tone shades along with i3S stickers. The motorcycle has impressive headlamp which is incorporated with sporty cowl. The motorcycle is featured with slit grab rails, black alloy wheels, stunning tail light and wide seat, which give a distinctive look to the motorcycle. Apart from this, the motorcycle features attractive meter console with side stand indicator. Furthermore, the motorcycle is being sold in the Indian two-wheeler in four color options such as Sports Red, Leaf Green, Excellent Blue and Heavy Grey.

The Livo rides on the same 110cc engine as that also powers the other commuter motorcycles of Honda. The Honda Livo is powered by an air-cooled, four-stroke, SI and 109.19cc engine displacement which produce 8.2 BHP of power at 7500 RPM and 8.63 Nm of torque at 5500 revs. The engine is mated to a four speed transmission. Moreover, the motorcycle is featured with Honda Eco Technology (HET) that not only enhances the power and performance but also takes care of more fuel consumption. The top speed of this motorcycle is 86 KMPH.

The Hero Splendor iSmart is the best motorcycle among the commuter motorcycles in its category. The motorcycle has successfully made its position in the commuter two-wheeler market. In fact, it’s an environment oriented motorcycle which is blessed with unique technology and Hero’s reliable compact engine. Thus, the motorcycle is powered by a same 97.2cc, air-cooled and four-stroke engine which endows healthy power output and smooth ride quality. The APDV engine is mated to a four speed-transmission, which manages to produce an 8.36 PS of power at 8000 RPM and 8.05 NM of torque at 5000 RPM. The motorcycle returns a claimed mileage of 102.5 KMPL.

The Livo is built around on a steel tubular diamond chassis which sits on a front telescopic fork and rear spring loaded hydraulic. Moreover, the braking duties are taken care by a front 240mm disc brake and rear 130mm drum brake, which is pretty much good in this category.

The motorcycle has a stiff tubular cradle frame type chassis which is incorporated with a front telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers and rear swing arm with adjustable hydraulic shock absorber. In terms of braking, the manufacturer has not blessed iSmart with a front disc brake as it has 130mm front and rear drum brake.
