Datsun Go might Run with a 1.0 litre Engine

Lately, Nissan owned automaker Datsun has launched an all-new entry level hatchback under the nameplate of Redi Go in India. It's the third car from the carmaker that is based on the Nissan-Renault Alliance platform. After making all sorts of new efforts, it looks like the company has been reconsidering its older version. It's just a wild guess, but Datsun Go might get powered by a 1.0-litre engine.

No such reason has been cleared yet, but it make sense that the older version is slightly expensive due to the 1.2-litre motor. If we talk about the engine and other components that are much similar to the Nissan Micra, which has recently come out with a CVT option here in the country and also considered as the most premium model in its segment due to the same engine cost. Well, all the news based on the rumours, it will be confirmed as soon as the official information arrives in the market.

On the mechanical front that has a displacement of 1198 cc, straight three motor, which is good for 68 Bhp of power and a torque of 104 Nm. Besides, the motor is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission unit to send the power at the corners. Reportedly, the Go might be powered by the same 1.0-litre engine, which will underpin the Kwid hatch in future. After getting an update, the price will surely be decreased to compete with its rivals, this is what we can expect from the company.
