Ducati Panigale V4 R Available for Bookings in India

The most powerful production bike ever from Ducati, the  Panigale V4 R has been put online for pre-bookings in India. In the Ducati range of Panigale, it is the top-end variant and a World Superbike (WSBK) homologation special edition that features a sort of special mechanicals.

Behind the fairing, the 2019 Ducati Panigale V4 R which comply with the WSBK homologation requirements is packed with a 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine that is tuned to generate 221 bhp and 111 Nm of torque. Besides being the range-topping model, the new Ducati Panigale V4 R model uses a small engine unit against the 1103 cc motor of the standard Panigale V4.

The Ducati manages to attain that refined power output from equipped lighter engine components and greater air intake efficiency. Altogether, the engine being used in mentioned superbike revs faster and has higher rev range at 16,500 rpm as compared to 13,000 rpm on the V4 S. Other than this, the Akrapovic race exhaust system which is being provided as an optional extra helps in increasing power to 234 bhp. The V4 R which stands at 172 kg (Kerb) is 2kg lighter than the V4 S owing to equipped lighter components.

Other than the mechanical enhancements, in order to get this form, the new Ducati Panigale V4 R has to undergo aesthetic treatment too. It now receives new fairing, new aerodynamic components and a bigger windshield unit. In addition to this, the fairing now crafted with twin gills for better engine cooling along with carbon fibre aerodynamic winglets that sports in offering increased downforce on the front end under heavy acceleration.

The pricing that is the major concern for this antique, track-focused superbike is not revealed yet. It is Ducati’s top of the line Panigale so the pricing would be a premium tag. Expectations suggest INR 1 Crore pricing while the deliveries for the Panigale V4 R is likely early next year.
