Ducati Scrambler 1100 Launched in India

Ducati India has launched three new models of the Scrambler 1100 today. These include the Scrambler 1100, Scrambler 1100 Sport and Scrambler 1100 Special. While the Scrambler 1100 will cost 10.91 Lacs. The Special and Sport variants will cost 11.12 Lacs and 11.42 Lacs respectively. Draped in grey paint scheme, the Scrambler 1100 Special comes bundled with a unique handlebar, gold-plated forks, spoke wheels, brown seat and a brushed aluminium swingarm as well. While the Scrambler 1100 Sport variant which gets an exclusive black paint scheme with yellow highlights receives a host of top selves components.

The base variant of the Ducati Scrambler 1100 will be launched via Twitter. The eye grabbing feature of the Bike is the twin under seat exhaust setup. This gives a hunky visual appeal that was missing in earlier models. Some highlights include:

  • Twin spar steel trellis frame
  • 45mm Marzocchi upside-down front forks
  • Kayaba rear monoshock
  • 330mm twin front discs brakes
  • 245mm single rear disc brake

The bike gets a 1079cc L-Twin unit as a beating heart. The engine pumps out the maximum power of 86bhp and 88.4Nm of torque via a mated six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. Among the gizmos, there are a four-stage traction control system and three riding modes consisting Active, Touring and City on offer along with Inertial measurement unit (IMU) and cornering ABS. Further, ride by wire technology offers crisp throttle with seamless power delivery.

In its segment, the Ducati Scrambler 1100 pit against the models like the Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V SE and the BMW R Nine T Scrambler.
