2019 Ducati Scrambler Icon 800 Unleashed with Improved Skin, Tech and Features

Ducati Scrambler Icon 800 with 2019 Model Year updates has emerged online. This improved version will be on sale from November 2018 with the new skin, tech and features. Initially, the markets likes Europe and the USA will get its availability. As for its India launch, no official words containing waves are on the Internet.

The Ducati Scrambler was introduced four years ago in 2014. Since then, the motorbike has managed to find over 55,000 homes. Seems not changing a lot, the Ducati adorned the new Scrambler 800 with the LED turn indicators and new headlight with an LED DRL. The headlamp unit seems shared from the regular Scrambler 1100. While redesigned tank panels and a cylindrical muffler cover are also few in the list of implied cosmetic tweaks with a new ‘atomic tangerine’ colour.

Other attributes which will make you remind of the Scrambler 1100 are the 10-spoke alloy wheels, brushed aluminium finished engine casing and cutting-edge technological aspect, cornering ABS which allows a panic stop with surety on par to not get crashed. It will be the most affordable motorcycle in the Indian market with this feature at the time of its launch.

The new switchgear on the 2019 Scrambler 800 is more accessible in terms of ergonomics. The turn indicators are more sensible with the self-cancelling feature. The seat has been revised, it is flatter and comfortable for the occupants.

As compared to the outgoing Scrambler, the suspension setup which was criticized for being little harsh on bumps has been improved. Mechanically, a hydraulic clutch and adjustable levers are the new addition from the Scrambler 1100. The modern instrument cluster now gets updated sticker job, Ducati Multimedia System with Bluetooth connectivity for your smartphones. The information like calls, messages, and music information will now be flashed in front rider eyes.

The new Scrambler 1100 offers more premium feel as against to the ongoing Scrambler 800. We just hope, the suggested addition from the Scrambler 1100 should go a long way for the Scrambler Icon to offer same riding experience. If the market-ready model will be blessed with the above-mentioned features, it will definitely see a hike in pricing over the regular Scrambler Icon that is on retail at INR 7.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

We anticipate the transition of these updates across the Scrambler range as well in coming months.
