Ducati Scrambler: It is not just One, It is Four-in-One

Ducati Scrambler, the one most awaited and rumored motorcycle of the year, has finally made its debut at the ongoing INTERMOT motorcycle show, 2014. The International Motorcycle show is being held in Cologne, Germany. Just a few days back, the company has announced that they will be going to showcase their all new playful motorcycle at the INTERMOT. Well, we were expecting that the company will showcase only Ducati Scrambler, but this is really beyond our thinking. The Italian manufacturer has come-up with four different variants of Scrambler motorcycle. All the variants are different in nature and all of them have made their debut at the International Motorcycle show, 2014.

Feast you eyes over the four different variants of Ducati Scrambler and let me help you to go through the detailed specification of newly launched Scramblers.

Scrambler Ducati Icon:- The Scrambler Ducati Icon is one of the most simplest models out of the four motorcycles. The Icon is built upon a tubular steel trellis frame with interchangeable aluminum cover, featuring LED headlamps and rear lights with glass lamps and an under seat storage incorporated with USB socket. It has 18" front and 17" rear 10 spoke alloy wheels, catered by Pirelli. The motorcycle is available in two glowing colors, Ducati Red and 62 Yellow.

Technically, the Scrambler Ducati Icon is powered by an air-cooled, two-cylinder, Desmodromic L-Twin engine with an engine displacement of 803cc. The power plant of the motorcycle is coupled with a 6-speed transmission and is capable to churn out a total power of 75 BHP @ 8,250 revs and a peak torque of 68 Nm @ 5,750 RPM. On the safety front, the company has provided Brembo disc brake at both front and rear, incorporated by ABS as standard. And, to provide an amazing riding quality to its rider, the motorcycle is being blessed by an upside-down front forks and monoshock at the rear, which is catered by Kayaba.

Scrambler Ducati Urban Enduro:- The Scrambler Ducati Urban Enduro is specifically designed for the urban riding and off-roading. The motorcycle is featuring a 'Wild Green' color with a black frame and brown colored seat, which makes this a perfect Enduro motorcycle. This one is also built upon the very same tubular steel trellis frame, but with wire-spoked wheels. The raised front mudguard will make you ready for stunts anytime. The headlight grill, handlebar cross-strut and modern fabrics make this motorcycle a complete package to go out for off-road biking.

Talking about the mechanism of the motorcycle, the Scrambler Ducati Urban Enduro will be featuring the very same Ducati Monster's 803cc engine, generating the same power and torque figures. The manufacturer has launched this urban theme based motorcycle with a dedicated theme based logo as well, i.e. a Red Cross mark.

Scrambler Ducati Full Throttle:- The Scrambler Ducati Full Throttle is specially designed to experience the riding fun over the dirt racing tracks. In order to meet the dirt bike racing requirements, the company has designed lower handle bars and round-shaped headlamp with the ring. A flat track styled seat and short front mudguard just suits the track theme of the Scrambler Ducati Full Throttle. The icing over the cake is the Termignoni racing exhaust and the racing style and graphics given to the motorcycle, i.e. yellow stripes over the side panels of the fuel tank and dirt-track theme based graphics.

The technical mechanism of the Full Throttle motorcycle is also similar to the Ducati Monster 796. It gets its power from an L-Twin Desmodromic engine with an engine displacement of 803cc, pumping up the same power and torque figures. The major highlights of the motorcycle are its sports tail piece, black colored fuel tank covers on sides, flat-track inspired design and a completely dedicated logo for the Scrambler Ducati Full Throttle.

Scrambler Ducati Classic:- The Scrambler Ducati Classic is the only one which is completely inspired by the 1970's style, as it is designed carrying a retro style. Although, the motorcycle carries the same aforementioned advanced technical specifications and the very same L-Twin Desmodromic 803cc engine. We can also say that it is a retro-styled motorcycle carrying advanced functionality, as it has received an old-patterned seat complimented with 70's style badges and graphics.

The Scrambler Ducati Classic is featuring a unique paintjob, as it is painted in a refined 'Orange Sunshine' color. The wire-spoked wheels, brown colored vintage designed seat, black striped fuel tank, all these equipments make this motorcycle a complete Classic motorcycle. The Italian has also given this motorcycle a unique and theme based dedicated logo.

The base model of the Ducati Scrambler, i.e. Ducati Scrambler Icon is the only one carrying minimal price tag of 8,595 USD. And, this will be first Ducati Scrambler to hit the showrooms by the early 2015. The remaining three models, which are Full Throttle, Urban Enduro and Classic will be priced at 9,995 USD.
