Ducati To Introduce Lower Version of Scrambler 800 at 2015 EICMA

The Italian two-wheeler maker, Ducati, is working on the new small engine motorcycle of its Scrambler that might be tagged as Scrambler 400. Currently, the company has a lower engine motorcycle in its portfolio named, Ducati 800 that was introduced globally last year. The design and body cues of the new entry level Scrambler 400 would be very identical to the current 800cc model. With a 400cc motor, the company wants to capture the Europe, South American and Asian market. But, some report suggested that the motorcycle will be available only in Japan.

Recently, the firm has made an announcement that they will kick off nine new products for its 2016 lineup at the 2015 EICMA show that will be scheduled for this November in Milan, Italy. However, the some motorcycles are under the testing, while some are under curtains. Moreover, the 400cc version of the Scramble also in the queue of the nine products that might be made its debut next month at the EICMA show.

There are no more details about the new 400cc entry level motorcycle, Ducati is yet to officially announce the details of its upcoming products. Furthermore, the Ducati 800 is powered by the L-twin Desmodromic Testerata and 803cc motor configuration. The electronic fuel injection returns 75 BHP of power at 8250 RPM and 68 Nm of torque at 5750 RPM. With the 400cc engine, the Scrambler 400 would be returned around 30-35 BHP of power and around 25-30 Nm of torque.

The Ducati Scrambler 800 is being sold in the country at Rs. 6.48 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi), if Scrambler 400 launch in the county, then it would be priced between Rs. 4.50 lakh to Rs. 5.50 lakh.
