EBR Black Lightning All Set to Launch Today at Long Beach IMS

Erik Buell Racing (EBR) is all geared to roll out a new roadster model at the Long Beach International Motorcycle Show in California, today. The EBR 1190 X based model will be christened as the Black lighting and is a brisk interpretation of the former one. As the name suggests, the automaker has crafted a true performer, benefited with all the required aspects like superior design language, upgraded ergonomics, higher torque dissipation and A-Class handling, suits for every rider’s biking manner.

The Black Lightning is said to screw with the same powertrain found in the ongoing SX and RX versions. The 1,190 cc 72° V-Twin, Liquid Cooled, Four-stroke motor is adequate to originate the utmost power of 185 hp at 10,600 rpm and transmitting the vertex torque of 137.8 Nm at 8,200 rpm. The gearbox  assembly has been modulated for elevated torque discharge and improved acceleration in order to transform it for a true street racing.

Aesthetically, the noted fitments like high-placed handlebars, lower seat height and lower settled foot pegs, as well as an optional comfort seat, are being offered to ride the bike in different riding positions for providing an array of performance potentials depending upon the speed.
