The Bengaluru-based startup, Emflux Motors has launched its first electric motorcycle, the Model 1 in India at the price sticker of INR 6 Lakh on road. It is India's first electric sports bike.
Apparently, wearing an aggressive stance, the Model 1 has sharp and edgier design language. The front leaning riding position, rear set foot pegs and low set handlebar complete its sporty riding posture. At the front fascia, the superbike gets the fitment of a vertical full-LED headlamp that runs from the visor and ends at the fascia. In addition to this, the bikemaker adds a single-sided swingarm to enhance its combative appeal.
Based on a tubular steel trellis frame, the Emflux Model 1 is equipped with a liquid-cooled AC induction motor that generates the maximum power of 67bhp and 84Nm of peak torque. As per the company, the Model 1 is capable of attaining 100kmph from its standstill position within 3 seconds. In a single charge the motorcycle can travel 200km range as claimed by the company. While the battery took an hour for a complete charge that is possible with the brands patented Wrap charger. The company is selling this charger separately.
The key aspects of the Emflux Model 1 include a 7-inch TFT colour touchscreen, navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, real-time vehicle diagnostics and OTA updates. The motorcycle suspends on 43mm USD front forks and an offset rear monoshock. Whereas, the braking comes from 300mm dual disc brakes up front and a single 200mm rear disc brake. The discs are anchored with callipers sourced from Brembo.
Moreover, if you purchase the Model 1 with a performance upgrade package, you will have to spend INR 11 lakh (on-road). In the package, the buyers will be benefited with the fitments including an Ohlins suspension setup, forged alloy wheels and carbon fibre panels. The deliveries against the booking will be given by early next year.
