Exclusive Indian Brand Avantura Choppers Will Roll Out Premium 2000cc Bikes

Indian biking sector got blessed with the introduction of a premium Chopper motorcycles brand, Avantura Choppers. It is an exclusive chopper motorcycle manufacturer in the country that assembles its bikes at Vasai unit situated on the outskirts of Mumbai. While the company’s headquarter is in Mumbai. Gaurav Aggarwal and Vijay Singh are the CEO and the Chief Revenue Officer of the company respectively. The Chief Design Officer Kevin Alsop is also a mentionable name as he was associated with the American brand- Big Bear Choppers that ended up in 2008 due to the recession.

In India, the Avantura Chopper motorcycle brand will start its operations with two of its models. Those will serve the premium bike segment as the models will be sculpted with state of art designs, best quality material, and excellent ground clearance and suspension setup to take on easily on the Indian road conditions.

Initially, the company will launch only two variants which will differ in terms of design and incorporated powertrain. While the used cycle parts will be of best quality imported from overseas brands. The engine unit will be sourced from S&S, a brand that is known for developing high-performance engines performs propelling duties on custom bikes and V-twin cruisers. While the transmission will be handled by the unit from Rivera and suspension will belong from Progressive, both are the American brand.

The forthcoming variants will use tyres from Avon and brake calipers from Beringer, a French manufacturer. While the turn signals will be of Kellerman brand from Germany. With these 1600cc bikes, Avantura Choppers is aiming at a 7-8% of market share along with sales of around 15,000 units in the next 5 years.

Well, it is the first time in the Indian biking industry that any Indian bike maker is offering choppers while in the west the concept of choppers is already popular among buyers. The bikes are going through ARAI tests that consist 29 tests which include 16 component tests and 13 motorcycle tests and all must be passed. Other tests such as noise, emission and etc have already been conducted and certifications are awaited that is expected to grant before the official launch of bikes in the country.
