Fiat Abarth Linea to Arrive Soon at Indian Shores

After the reports of Fiat Abarth Punto to be launched in India on 10th October, the automaker is planning to bring out an updated Linea in the country. The sedan is already being sold here, but it is withering with age and hence the company feels that it should be upgraded to give a boost to its sales. This upcoming model will be an Abarth version thereby, offering a performance oriented mechanical setup that will be much powerful than the existing sedan. Moreover, the Avventura might also get an Abarth lineup, later.

Speculations suggest that the new Linea would be packed with a 1.4 litre T-Jet petrol motor that will be able to pump out 143 Bhp of power output, which is the same as the new Punto. Further, it might also get some notable mechanical modifications like rear disk brakes, stiff suspension and a 20 mm lowered ride height. Currently, this mid-sized sedan is available with a 1.4 litre engine that develops 89 Bhp power at 6000 rpm and delivers a mileage of 20.4 km/l with its diesel variant.

Apart from the mechanical changes, the model is also likely to get cosmetic upgrades. The Abarth 595 Competizione has got a positive feedback and the reports of upcoming Punto model is also getting favourable response. As a result, the Italian carmaker is hoping that it will certainly enjoy the same kind of treatment for the Abarth Linea. There is no information on the pricing aspect, but we will inform you on that as soon as we get any further details.
