Fiat Abarth Punto Booking Commenced in India

The renowned automobile brand Fiat has recently announced that the bookings for the Abarth Punto has started. Prospective buyers can get their new Abarth booked in return of a token amount of INR 50,000 at the company dealerships. It is reported that this hatchback will be sold at more than 100 exclusive Fiat showrooms located in India. The launch date of this model had been scheduled as 10th of October. The production of this runabout will take place at the Ranjangaon plant in Maharashtra.

This car will be packed with a 1.4-litre T-Jet turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 145bhp of power alongside 200Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The Punto is fitted with a tweaked suspension and braking system accompanied by 20mm lower ride height, which makes it a high performance car. It can sprint upto 100kmph from standstill in just 9.3 seconds, thereby making it the most fastest car in the non-luxury hatchback segment.

From the outside, this model gets a new grille at the fascia highlighted by a contrast marking in either red or orange color. It also receives side decals accompanied by Abarth Badges on both sides that run across the length of the car.. Moreover, the vehicle boasts of a modified bumper and 16-inch Scorpion alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the seats are stitched with red and yellow contrast. Additional features include automatic AC, steering mounted controls, Bluetooth and a 2-DIN music system.

For the safety purpose, this Punto provides you seven airbags, electronic stability programme (ESP), anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), hydraulic brake assistance and hill-start assist control. As of now it is anticipated that this upcoming model will be offered at the retail price of INR 10 Lakhs.
