Fiat Halts Abarth Punto and Avventura production As JEEP C-SUV Joins Lineup

Fiat India has suspended the ongoing production of its two models named Abarth Punto and Avventura. As per the report by RushLane, Fiat India wants to gear up the production of the upcoming Jeep compact SUV, which is going to arrive soon in the Indian market. As of now, the automakers local Ranjangaon Factory will keep producing the Jeep C-SUV without any disturbance. So, the company has decided to suspend the production of these vehicles for some time.

Apart from the Brazil Facility, the Indian facility is the second one that is engaged into producing the Jeep C-SUV. The automaker will also make some significant investments in order to expand the facility if needed. If things go right then the much anticipated Jeep C-SUV will roll out of the production facility by end of this 2017.

However, much details about the Jeep C-SUV have not been revealed. But, the front depicts the build design like Grand Cherokee. It is said to be offered in both petrol and diesel variants.The 2.0-liter Tigershark petrol power mill will produce 164 hp of maximum power, while the 2.0-liter MultiJet II diesel will be capable of producing 170hp. The engines will be paired a standard 6-speed manual transmission. The 9-speed automatic transmission will be available on top variants.
