First Batch Of Ford Mustang Sold Out in India

People looking for buying the 5.0L muscle Car, Ford Mustang in India will have to wait until the next batch arrives via CBU route. The Ford Mustang was recently launched in India at an aggressive price of INR 65 Lakh. The car was spotted around Buddh International Circuit just before the official launch. The first batch has been sold out and the deliveries will reportedly commence in August.

 

The India-spec model is offered in a single variant named the GT Fastback. The two-door sports car is powered by a 5.0-litre Ti-VCT V8 engine that churns out a maximum power of 395bhp and 515Nm of torque. The engine is mated to six-speed automatic transmission. The Mustang is also assembled with paddle shifters, transmitting power to rear axle.

Interestingly, it took a long while for Ford to come up with this amazing beast in India. The 6th generation model was revealed in 2013 and it featured independent rear suspension (IRS) system. The new Mustang is the first export model to be designed for right-hand-drive.
