First Kawasaki Vulcan S Delivered to its Owner

The first cruiser bike from Kawasaki was introduced on 30 December 2017. While the arrival of its first unit took place at the dealership in the second week of January. Lately, the first delivery of the new Vulcan S has been delivered to its owners in Delhi by Aurum Kawasaki. It is available to purchase only in a single Flat Ebony colour and priced at INR 5.44 lakh (ex-showroom).

With the Kawasaki Vulcan S, the brand allows for adjusting the riding position by adjusting seat height, foot pegs position with three-way adjustment and clutch and brake levers. Altogether, the handlebar can also be adjusted by an inch.

The Kawasaki Vulcan S is powered by a 649cc parallel twin DOHC engine. This liquid-cooled, fuel-injected motor is adequate to generate the maximum power output of 62 PS at 7500 rpm and 63 Nm of torque at 6600 rpm. All the generated power is transferred to the rear wheel via a mated six-speed Gearbox. For a reminisce, similar 650cc engine unit performs propelling duty on the Kawasaki Ninja 650 but is tuned to develop more power.

The suspension setup on the Kawasaki Vulcan S consists of a telescopic front fork and an offset monoshock with linkage and adjustable preload. While the braking is handled by a 300mm front and a 250mm rear disc in integration with dual channel ABS as standard fitment. In the segment, the Vulcan S will fight against the Harley-Davidson Street 750 and ready to launch Royal Enfield 650 twins. The motorcycle is shipped to the Indian dealerships all the way from CKD route, while its assembling is taken care by the brand’s Chakan based manufacturing unit in Pune. The Vulcan S is also likely to showcase at the imminent Auto Expo 2018.
