Ford Endeavour Facelift set to launch before April 2019

Earlier 2018, the upgraded Ford Endeavour was spied testing in India and now it is expected to launch before April 2019. In terms of appearances, there will be a modest upgrade which will have the new front grille and updated features list.

At present, the Ford Endeavour is present in two powertrains options: 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre diesel powertrains and both are coupled with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. 4WD is offered only in 3.2-litre Titanium trim. The current Endeavour was first disclosed in May 2018 and is on sale in Thailand from July (renamed as the Everest) which gets 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel powertrain mated with Ford’s new 10-speed automatic transmission. The Thai-specification powertrain produces 182PS and 420Nm of torque and 215PS and 500Nm of torque but this powertrain will not be launched in India.

The upgraded 2019 Ford Endeavour will come with new SYNC 3 infotainment system along with the push-button start as standard. The advanced safety features like AEB (autonomous emergency braking) and pedestrian and vehicle detection will not be available in the car which will be offered in India. But ABS with EBD, seven airbags, electronic stability program, hill launch assist, and traction control safety features will be offered in India.

The price of 2019 Endeavour will range between Rs 26.83 lakh-Rs 33.31 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) which will be almost the same as the current model. It will compete with the rivals- Mahindra Alturas G4, Toyota Fortuner and Isuzu MUX and even SUVs like Skoda Kodiaq and Honda CR-V.
