American automaker Ford has a good time in India with its Figo hatchback being one of the top-seller in the country. Now, the company is planning to launch Figo based sedan and the month could be July 2015 as per the reports. There would be two more launches apart from this, which are Figo hatchback facelift and Endeavour SUV facelift as well. However, the launch time for Figo hatch is near September and for Endeavour, it is December probably. The Figo sedan has already been made famous as the Ka sedan in Brazil during the FIFA Football World Cup 2014 and has been received very well too.
Coming to the engine details, the sedan will be powered by both diesel and petrol version with the former being a 1.5 Litre TDCi unit from its EcoSport crossover and Fiesta sedan. Also, a 1.0 Litre 3-Cylinder petrol engine might also get offered on the Figo hatchback facelift which can be regarded as the EcoBoost engine without turbocharger.
Talking about the Endeavour SUV, Ford made its public debut on last year before the Guangzhou Motor Show in November with the 3 engines that is a 2.0 Litre petrol, 2.2 Litre diesel and a 32. Litre diesel as well. In India, Ford Endeavour Facelift would be available in one or both the diesel engine trims, but the things will get cleared near its launch in December only.
