Google Brings Android Auto in India, Cars To Offer Support Soon

The search engine giant, Google has brought the Android Auto in India. It was initially unveiled at Google I/O 2014. Not only India, the tech giant is launching it into 18 different countries. The Android Auto helps in providing relevant directions and data on the infotainment system by integrating the android load smartphones with the car's infotainment system.

We are already familiar with Maruti Suzuki’s Apple CarPlay which comes fitted with the S-Cross, the Baleno and the Brezza models. The automaker is expected to soon enable this Android Auto feature into its cars very soon. Meanwhile, we noticed that Mahindra adopted it very early and introduced the Android Auto in models like XUV500 and the Scorpio.

The next-gen Hyundai Elantra, which is expected to be launched later this year would offer support for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. With this, we can see other car maker offering this feature into their upcoming cars.

Talking about the Android Auto, this is something which not only integrated the smartphone with the vehicle's infotainment system but also the phone is connected to the car's head unit via USB. It further helps the user to access relevant apps needed while driving. It is said to be the simplified form of the Google Maps. It also facilitates accessing Play Music app while driving.
