Harley-Davidson India Fired Two Products From Its 2016 Lineup

The American motorcycle maker, Harley-Davidson, has fired two products, Superlow and the Fatboy Special, from India’s 2016 lineup as the both motorcycles will not be on sale in the Indian two-wheeler market. This step has been taken due to the poor sales performance of the both models. Both, the Superlow and Fatboy Special were introduced in the country about three year ago. The official website of H-D India is still showing the models under the 2015 line-up. However, the other model of Fatboy is available for country’s 2016 lineup.

Harley Davidson Fat Boy Special

The Superlow and the Fatboy Special were Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units that were sold in the country at Rs 6.32 lakh (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) and Rs. 16.24 lakh (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) respectively. Other than this, the company has listed a new cruiser motorcycle Harley-Davidson Road King for the 2016 lineup.

The company will showcase its 2016 models at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo that will be held in Greater Noida. Recently the company has dropped the price of its lowest model- Street 750 and now is being sold in the country at Rs. 4.70 lakh (Ex. Showroom, Mumbai). It is the upgraded model that comes with an all new braking mechanism and also received an iconic blue color with new wiring.
