Harley Davidson Reduces Street 750 and Street Rod Prices in India

Harley Davidson has announced a price drop for its most selling motorcycles in India, the Street 750 and the Street Rod. for your information, it does not happy any connection with the US President Donald Trump being unhappy about the increase in CBU imported motorcycles’ customs duty from international brands.

With the decrease of INR 47,001 in price, the Street 750 that is an entry level Harley in the Indian market will cost you INR 4,69,999, ex-showroom Delhi. Whereas, the Street 750 will make you spend INR 5,59,999 with a price cut of INR 48,001. Both are the most selling bikes in India.

This cut in the pricing of these motorcycles indicates Harley plans to give a tough competition to the Royal Enfield that is going to launch its flagship models the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 twin cylinder motorcycles. Both the bikes are expected to get the price tag in the range of INR 3-4 lakhs. And to compete with these bikes Harley announces the price cut to attract a large number of the audience toward the Street 750 and the Street Rod.

The Indian government recently decreases the customs duty on the Imported motorcycles as completely built units (CBU). The above mentioned Harley bikes are being manufactured at the brand’s Bawal based manufacturing unit in Haryana. Also, the number of components are being sourced locally that will cut the price and tagged the bikes with more competitive price sticker.

Beneath the fuel tank, both the bikes come laden with 750cc, liquid cooled V-Twin engines. But the similar powertrain on the Street 750 generates the maximum power of 47 Bhp and the peak torque of 59Nm. While, in a different state of tune, the engine churns out 70 Bhp and 70Nm peak torque. And for precise braking, the ABS is being offered with both the bikes as standard fitment.
