With an aim to increase sales and revenue generation, America-based premium motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson is going to introduce numerous new models in the existing product portfolio. These forthcoming models are targeted to next five years span. In actual, the company is planning to expand its empire by increasing foreign dealerships and number of new Harley owners. According to a stat, the company has trained more than 65,000 riders in its Harley-Davidson Riding Academy. That trains people, how to ride a motorcycle.
Matt Levatich, President and CEO, Harley-Davidson, said, “The success we saw with the launch of the Milwaukee-Eight engine is a sign of the innovation we have in place. We are confident our 2018 line will also help sales.”
“I have never been more excited about the products in our pipeline. We do not just build motorcycles, we build drivers, too. We are focusing on the next generation of riders,” headed. “We want to add more dealers overseas and grow riders here in the United States, reaching out to new markets including younger riders, women, African-Americans and Hispanics.”
Here in India, Securing around 60% market share, Harley Davidson has its major sells in the 600cc+ category. With more than 12,000 H.O.G. members, Harley-Davidson had completed a really successful journey of five years of its Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) rally.
The rally comprises a big number of competitions and awards to honour the owners. Such as the Custom Champion Contest, where owners can present their customization skills. A ‘Big 5 Riders’ honour for the riders, who have completed all the five (zonal) rallies- Western, Northern, Eastern, Southern, and one national rally, in a calendar year. A ‘Triple Five’ honor is also there, the owners who have traversed more than 1 lakh kilometers on their Harleys, are awarded by this honour. In the awards list, the H.O.G. ‘Chapter of the year’ is kind of the biggest achievement for those, who were a really active chapter and contributed a lot for the brand in one year.
