Honda Activa 6G Details Disclosed

The 2019 Honda Activa 6G is the most sought product from the Honda house. It is being expected to debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. lately, the scooter in its 6th generation avatar has been spotted testing near ARAI Pune. It was being said to get modified cosmetically as well as mechanically. However, the changes were not earlier revealed officially which has now been disclosed from HMSI itself while interaction with Autocar Professional.

Among the revealed details, the Honda Activa 6G is being said to be offered with connectivity features for turn-by-turn navigation and call alerts as like the TVS NTorq 125.

In addition to this, we could see the availability of an external fuel filler cap that is not being provided with any of the Honda scooters in Indian lineup. Also, we could witness the upcoming scooter to run on 12-inch alloy wheels and featured with an advanced safety of a front disc brake as an option.

Moreover, the old-school, trailing link front suspension since its introduction would also be replaced with a pair of telescopic forks which will not only improve the ride quality but also will feel more stable on bad roads.

The underpinned 110cc powertrain to get updated as per the new regulations. Also, the presence of a fuel injection system could be witnessed. In its segment, the Honda Activa 6G will go in competition with the likes of the Yamaha FascinoTVS Jupiter and the Hero Maestro Edge.

The ongoing Honda Activa 5G attracts a price sticker of INR 54,632 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base variant. We expect the updated model to get a premium in the range of INR 5,000 to Rs 10,000. Not even this, Honda also revealed its plan of updating its portfolio from chassis to engine in lieu of complying with the upcoming emission norms. So we could expect the premiere of an all-new Honda lineup at the 2020 Auto Expo. Till then just wait and watch.
