2018 Honda Livo and Dream Yuga Launched in India

The Japanese bike manufacturer, Honda post introducing an all-new premium commuter X-Blade and the fifth edition of the most selling scooter, the Activa in its Indian lineup. Now bring in the 2018 edition of its Livo and Dream Yuga in commuter segment. The models are priced at INR 56,230 and INR 52,741 respectively (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).

The things which you are going to witness in the 2018 edition of the Livo are new sticker job along with the introduction of an all-new semi-digital instrument console. However, the readouts are not that upmarket though it offers a service due indicator and a clock.

Powering for the 2018 Honda Livo is under the consideration of similar 109.19cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine of the previous model. Mated to a 4-speed gearbox, the mill is capable of generating the maximum power of 8.4PS at 7500rpm along with 9.09Nm of peak torque at 5000rpm.

Based on a diamond type chassis, the new Livo suspends on telescopic front forks and dual 5-step adjustable rear shock absorbers. whereas, the 130mm drum brakes on both wheels handle braking duties. However, there is also an optional 240mm disc brake variant for the desirables. The products like the TVS Victor, Bajaj Discover 110 and the Hero Splendor i-Smart 110 will go in competition with the updated Honda Livo.

On the other hand, the Dream Yuga in its 2018 edition received fewer changes as compared to the Livo, which are new graphics, slightly altered design and body-coloured rear view mirrors.

Mechanically, the new Dream Yuga is packed with the similar 109cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine of the earlier model. Without any electronic adjustment made to the powertrain, it expels 8.5PS of power at 7500rpm and sends 8.91Nm of torque at 5500rpm to the rear wheel via a mated 4-speed gearbox. Other than this, Honda's patented HET technology ensures better fuel economy.

The suspension setup comprises telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Whereas the braking force comes from drum brakes on either wheel. being provided in the new colour option of black with brown, the Dream Yuga goes in competition with the likes of Hero Passion Pro and Bajaj Platina Comfortec.
