Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser Showcased At 2019 Shanghai Motor Show

The Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser has been showcased by the company at the 2019 Shanghai Motor show. Honda has added new features and color options to the bike. The Cruiser has been given blacked out styling and new color options which will force the people to give it atleast one look. If the Honda Rebel 500 Cruiser will be launched in India anytime then it will give a tough competition to the Royal Enfield Classic and Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500. The Rebel 500 will come with a tightly packed frame and a low slung seat. The bike will be powering from the 471cc, parallel-twin powertrain which churns out balanced power delivery proportionately i.e. between lower and upper revolutions.

In terms of the styling, the Rebel 500 is a mixture of the traditional and new school styling. The new Rebel 500 has the same small cruiser stance. The cut-down front fender is layered on the fat front tire. The 2019 Rebel 500 comes with the round retro headlamp and apart from this, it also has a single pod instrument cluster and wider handlebar. The fuel tank is positioned on the exposed frame. The new gen Rebel has a single seat but as per the model showcased at the auto show, it is furnished with a pillion seat which is made to sit on the rear fender which was not in the original model.

The company has added few features of the sportsbike of Honda which are placed perfectly and gives a sharp and modern look to the Rebel. Aforementioned, the Rebel 500 gets the power from the 471cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin four-stroke powertrain which churns out 47 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and around 43 Nm of maximum torque at 6,000 rpm. The powertrain is married with a 6-speed gearbox.

The Honda Rebel 500 at the front sports a 41mm fork conventional forks with 4.8 inches of travel and at the back it uses dual shocks with 3.8 inches of travel. The new gen Rebel depends on a solo 296 mm disc at the front and 240 mm disc at the rear to halt it. The motorcycle will come with seven color options.
