Honda Records 21 Percent Growth in Sales in September 2017

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has indexed a superb hike of 21 percent in sales with the retailed figures of 18,257 units in September 2017 as compared 15,034 units in the similar month last year. While, in the export market, the company disposed of 413 units during the same time period. With the respective sales of the City- 6,010 units, WR-V-4,834 units and the Jazz-3001 units, all three models remain volume generators for Honda India in September 2017.

Yoichiro Ueno, President and CEO, Honda Cars India Ltd. while revealing sales numbers said, “HCIL is witnessing one of its fastest growth years in sales, backed by strong performance of our latest models Honda City and WR-V. We have had a good start to the festive season, clocking strong sales in September. With the festive purchase on full-swing, our sales outlook for the season is very promising."

Moreover, if considers sales this fiscal, the April-September 2017 has been a good time for carmaker with strong sales of 91,269 units. At the same time last fiscal, the company had gained 74,855 units that are a cumulative growth of over 22 percent earned by the automaker. The figures will drastically be changed with approaching Diwali, as it’s the major time when automakers generate a big share of its sales earned throughout the year.
