Honda to Introduce New Scooter with BSIV Engine

Recently, Honda India launched the all-new 2017 Shine with an engine conforming to the Bharat Stage IV emission norms along with the auto headlamp feature (AHO) as standard. It was the third product from the company after the CB Hornet 160R and the Unicorn 160, that is blessed with these features. And now, Honda is repeating itself by offering the same qualities on the upcoming new scooter. Interestingly, the scooter will be the first from the automaker complementing with this two equipment.

All these updates might be a part of the norms announced previously by the government, according to which, all two-wheelers sold in the country will have to meet BS IV emission as well as mandatory to feature 'AHO' facility as standard. Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) is one of the key safety features, which automatically switches on the headlight whenever it's needed to be.

Nothing has officially been unveiled about the scooter yet, however, a report from the CarandBike hints that it will be launched as early as later this month. Yadvinder Guleria, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India said, “It will be launched very soon and what it is, is a surprise, so wait for the launch. We can't say anything more at this stage. We are well prepared to meet the March 31 deadline and all our products across the board will be updated with BSIV ready engines and AHO.”
