Honda VFR800 Interceptor: Review

In the year 2010, when Honda's VFR 1200 has been launched, the dreams of hundreds of motorcyclists had been lightened up by the company. Now, in the beginning of the year 2014, Honda launched a new model in the same series of VFR with the same engine displacement of 782cc. The bike is named as Honda VFR800 Interceptor. Recently, this year Honda had launched a couple of sports bike in the international market as well as in Indian market too; that is highly impressive for bike enthusiasts. And, the company is also planning to launch some of its upcoming line-up models for the year 2015.

Now, let's take a look at the hands on review of VFR800. It looks pretty much similar to its predecessor VFR 1200. It will surely give you a comfortable riding along with the sporty looks. The new things which have been introduced in this bike are; the first and foremost thing is its light weight and improved chassis to give the rider a cozy ride, which is made up of cast-aluminum. It has given a two-position rider's seat to provide you a comfortable riding, even if you are going for long drives. The bike is featuring a 10 spoke alloy wheels along with dual radial mount 4-piston calipers at the front and single at the rear. Now, getting serious about the bike's features, the bike is powered by a liquid-cooled, V4 engine, which is coupled with a 6-speed transmission box. The engine is capable to deliver a total power of 98.3BHP @ 10,000RPM and a maximum torque of 54lb-ft @ 8,400 RPM.

The VFR800 is a hard-core sports bike along with the sport-touring features. If we'll talk about its looks, the design of the twin LED headlamp and LED tail lights seems much tempting to any sports bike lover. A new single muffler has also been introduced in VFR800 and the fairing is less than the VFR 1200. It has a fuel tank capacity of 5.2 gallons and it gives you a maximum speed of 200 miles. The 2014 Interceptor is blessed with a digital tachometer, a gear indicator, a fuel consumption gauge and an analog speedometer.

Honda has never served less to its customers. The company always caters those things what a true bike enthusiasts would like to have on his bike. We can take an example of its recently launched bikes like Honda CBR 300R. The bike is priced at $ 12,499 and a deluxe model is available at $ 13,499.
