Hyundai Elantra Garners 405 Bookings Within First Week of Launch

The 2016 Hyundai Elantra has heated up the market since its launch in India on August 23 this year. It has been launched here at a starting price of Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and already achieved 405 bookings within the 8 days of launch. The South Korean automaker aimed to sell 350 units a month and expected to acquire 35 percent of the segment. Now, the current figures reveal that the company has already got their expectations fulfilled.

Speaking on the success of the Elantra, YK Koo, managing director and CEO, Hyundai Motor India said, “We are overwhelmed with the customer’s response of more than 7817 enquiries and 405 bookings received for The All New Elantra. This reflects the strong customer connect and confidence on Hyundai products. We thank our customers, channel partners, employees and media who have chosen The All New Elantra as an admirable modern premium brand.”

This 6th generation Elantra is the third offering from the automaker to the Indian market. The car comes with an elegant design and attractive cabin. Mechanically, the new Elantra is fitted with a new 2.0-liter petrol engine and a 1.6-litre four cylinder diesel power mill. The sedan is available in 9 variants and five color choices.
