Hyundai is on the way to give tremendous challenge for all the companies, who are going to set up their runabouts this year between the range of INR 5 Lacs to 9 Lacs. Its well prominent Verna is all set to appeared again in the Indian mobile market next month, while the car of the year, Elite i20 based crossover will be launched in March 2015. The most awaited vehicle is currently under testing phase with impressive and latest changes including stunning roof rails, redesigned headlamps alongside integrated LED daytime running lights, flared wheel arches comprising 16 inch alloy wheels and new front as well as rear bumpers.
Reportedly, this upcoming crossover will have increased ground clearance as compared to the existing Elite i20 hatchback. The overall tweaked components and expanded exterior would render a unique visual perspective for everyone and is also expected to bestow the spacious cabin, where maximum occupants can be adjusted easily.Mechanically, it will be available in both fuel mill options for 1.2 litre Kappa petrol and 1.4 litre U2 CRDi turbo diesel engine.
Both variants will be paired to a 5-speed and 6-speed manual transmission system, respectively. The Hyundai i20 based crossover would undergo production at the brand's Sriperumbudr facility and seems to get extra price of INR 40,000 with regard to its outgoing model. After the launch, this runabout will compete against Fiat Avventura, Volkswagen Cross Polo and Toyota Etios.
