Hyundai Unveils RM16-The high-performance Concept at Busan Motor Show

Hyundai added another concept to its RM (Racing Mid-ship) series with the latest release of RM16, the high-performance car, at the Busan Auto Show, Korea. Hyundai introduced its performance based sub-brand ‘N’ in the month of September last year. The prime goal behind this N sub-brand is to create performance-focussed technologies that can be used by Hyundai into the near future production. Making further progress towards the goal, Hyundai also showcased N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo with RM16.

The recently introduced high-performance car, RM16 continues the company’s idea of higher performance with advanced technologies which was started with RM14, unveiled at 2014 Busan International Motor Show. Same as with the subsequent RM15, which was introduced at Seoul Motor Show 2015. And now RM16 represents the further progress of company towards high-performance technologies in the form of a mid-engine, lightweight, with the wide aggressive front fascia and a low extended profile.

Under the hood, RM16 is powered by the same as RM14, a midship mounted 2.0-liter theta T-GDI engine that is mated to a 6-Speed manual transmission and tuned to produces a maximum power output of 300 PS.

The other technologies which are being tested on RM16 include, carbon fiber body panel, electronic limited-slip differential at both axles, adjustable rear wing spoiler and an adjustable exhaust valve.
