Jaguar Land Rover finally went ahead and made the amazing premiere of its most awaited Land Rover Discovery Sport at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. The customers in India are already waiting for this SUV eagerly as it has been officially confirmed to hit the Indian shores on September 2 and its recently held showcased ceremony is making the customers more impatient to bring the model at their home as soon as possible. Size wise, the vehicle is 4,599 mm long, 2,173 mm wide, 1,724 mm tall and 2,741 mm in wheelbase.
This luxury SUV is the first one in the league to be launched with 5+2 seating option, which is clearly hinting at its upcoming success. Apart from the Terrain Response and Park Assist, complete features of the India bound model is still to be unpacked. Whereas the Indian-spec will be machined with a 2.2 litre SD4 diesel engine in order to churn out two output tunes, such as 147 bhp and 187 bhp, the Indonesian trim will get a 2.0 litre Si4 petrol engine to generate an impressive power of 240 hp.
Both of these distinct versions will be paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Confirmed to be set up as the CKD unit, the kits for the forthcoming Land Rover Discover Sport has already gone for assembly in Pune. Upon the launch, this vehicle will drop the likes of the BMW X3, Volvo XC60 and Audi Q5.
