India Made Suzuki Ciaz Introduced in South Africa

After the launch of the Ciaz sedan in India, Maruti Suzuki has been getting superb profit from the customers and now, to expand the sway of this vehicle in another country, the Japanese manufacturer has rolled out the runabout in South Africa between the price of INR 9.47 Lac to INR 11.31 Lac. The models will be built in our country, including four doors and few interior modifications. Unlike the Indian spec version, this new vehicle comprises a complete black dashboard along with black floor mats and seats, whereas in India, it features a dual tone with black and beige dashboard alongside a faux wood insert, beige floor mats and seats.

Suzuki Ciaz Exterior

Power comes from a 1.4 litre k14B four cylinder engine, which churns out a maximum power of 93.87 hp at 6,000 rpm instead of 91.18 hp and torque of 130 Nm at 4,000 rpm. However, this mill comes with the same transmission options of a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic as the Ciaz sedan available in the Indian market. Coming to its safety features, which have been packed in a package, including emergency braking assistance, integrated alarm/immobiliser, dual front airbags, childproof rear door lacks, ABS and EBD.

The Managing Director at Suzuki Auto SA, Yukio Sato said, “The advent of the new Suzuki Ciaz represents the next step in our strategy to increase the Suzuki brand's market share in South Africa by expanding our model offering.” He added, “We have already achieved record sales by adding newcomers such as the Swift 1.2, the Ertiga and the Splash to our model line-up, while the new generation SX4 and the recently released Celerio are proof of our commitment to bringing Suzuki's latest models to SA.”
