India to Get Mercedes-Maybach S600 on 25th September, 2015

Back in the month of August we informed you that Mercedes Benz has imported the Maybach S600 in India for the homologation purpose. Now, the automaker has confirmed that it is going to launch this saloon on 25th of September here. Earlier, Maybach entered as a separate entity in our country but it failed to perform well. This time, it will be entering the Indian automobile market as a sub-brand with this upcoming sedan. In November 2014, the company had showed its first appearance at two motor-shows- the Los Angeles Auto Show and the Guangzhou Auto Show in China. Globally, the booking were already started for the Mercedes-Maybach S500 and the S600 in the third week of December 2014, but the deliveries commenced from 7th February, 2015.

Dimensionally, the overall length of this luxurious car is 5,451mm and it's 206 mm longer than the regular S Class. As earlier, the company has already reveled some of the exterior features of this model, such as a classy front grille, LED headlamps, panoramic roof along with the badges of “Maybach” on the portions including boot lid and C-Pillar. Further, talking about the interior, the car is equipped with the massaging seats, adjustable seat backs along with a Hot-Stone massage, a chilled rear center armrest, fine leather upholstery, Burmester 3D audio, hand-crafted champagne flutes.

Throwing light on the mechanical configuration, it's powered with 6.0-liter V12 Bi-Turbo engine packs 523 hp and 830 Nm of torque coupled with a seven-speed automatic transmission setup. Moreover, the acceleration offer by the car is upto 100 km/hr in just 5 seconds.

The Mercedes-Maybach S600 is the core luxury model of the Mercedes with starting prices at INR 1.4 Crores. It will come in India via the CBU route.
