Now Pay More to Buy Indian Based Kawasaki Ninja ZX10RR

Introduced early this year, made in India 2018 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10RR was carrying the price tag of INR 16.10 lakhs. Valid till end of July 2018, the price tag has witnessed a price hike of INR 88,000 with immediate effect. The revised price tag now asks for INR 16.98 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi.

Inspired from the 2018 Kawasaki ZX10R, the locally assembled Ninja ZX10RR is a race oriented motorcycle. It comes embellished with features including forged aluminium wheels wrapped with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres, Brembo M50 brake calipers and a reworked cylinder head with reinforced crankcases.

Behind the fairing, the Ninja ZX10RR is loaded with a 998cc engine rated to belt out 197.2hp of power at 13,000rpm and 113.5Nm of peak torque. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a mated six-speed gearbox with a quick shifter. The RAM Air helps in increasing power output by 10 hp.

Approved for CKD operations earlier this year, the litre class superbikes the Ninja ZX10R and ZX10RR were the affordable offerings at the respective asking price of INR 12.8 lakhs and INR 16.10 lakhs. However, the ZX10RR has witnessed the price hike by INR 88K while the ZX10R continues on the same pricing without getting revised. Both the bikes in question are being locally assembled at the brand’s manufacturing unit in Chakan near Pune, where other models like the Z900, Ninja 650, Ninja 300 and Z650 has received similar treatment.

Besides getting price hiked, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX10RR is the cheapest of all in competition including Suzuki GSX-R1000(INR 19.86 lakhs), BMW S1000RR (INR 17.90 lakhs) and Ducati Panigale V4 priced at INR 20.53 lakhs.

In addition to this, the Ninja ZX10RR also go against the rivals like the Aprilia RSV4-RF at Rs 24.99 lakhs, the Yamaha YZF-R1 at Rs 18.16 lakhs and the Honda CBR1000RR SP edition at Rs 21.22 lakhs. At the global front, the Ninja ZX10R and ZX10RR have been updated with 2019 MY updates. While, in India, these updated models are expected to launch in the coming weeks.
