Indian Scout: To be Back on Track with New Avatar

The Indian Scout Motorcycle, a true soldier from the World War II (1939-1945), who helped U.S. forces. It had become a legendary two-wheeler during the 90's. Now, recently, the Polaris owned motorcycle maker has announced the all new 2015 Indian Scout during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which is going on in Sturgis, South Dacota.

The Indian Scout motorcycle was first introduced in the year 1919 and the company stopped manufacturing it after the World War II. At this instant, after a long hiatus of close to 65 years this iconic motorcycle has made its comeback carrying a new and modern outlook. The American touring motorcycle maker has launched a refreshed 2015 version of the Indian Scout and revealed it publicly at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Talking about the technical specifications of the legendary motorcycle, the bike consists of a power mill of a 69 cubic inch V-Twin, liquid-cooled engine and giving 1130cc of engine displacement. The power plant is capable to generate 100BHP of total power and a peak torque of 97.7Nm. Indian claims that the Indian Scout will be the lightest weight motorcycle in the company's motorcycle genre, as it only weighs 558 pounds (235 KG).

The Vice President of Indian Motorcycle for Polaris Industries, Steve Menneto, said, "Over the course of 30 years of countless innovations, racing wins, world records and industry firsts, the Scout has earned its reputation as a versatile, multifaceted bike that appeals to just about every rider and every riding style, with superior handling, balance, performance and craftsmanship. Our designers and engineers have taken that heritage and those characteristics and fused it into the 2015 Indian Scout, and we think just about everyone who rides this incredible bike is going to feel like it was built just for them."

The styling carried by the motorcycle can be described in a perfect manner. A balanced solo seat is provided to the lightweight motorcycle to give more comfort riding posture. The traditional classic triangle design has been continued in a re-engineered form. The round-shaped headlight along with the massive fuel-tank toting the badge of 'Indian Scout' makes this motorcycle more appealing. The Indian Scout motorcycle is priced at 10,999 USD (Rs 6.73 Lacs).
