Information Revealed Ahead of Mahindra Scorpio's 25 September Launch

The next generation Mahindra Scorpio has been spotted testing many times on the Indian roads and the speculations about the launch were rising, before the company itself confirmed the upcoming September 25^th for the launch. Now, the company has also started video teasing of the car and has also started the bookings for the upcoming SUV from the September 15^th for INR 20,000. The information about the variants of the car like seating configuration, colors and engine has also been revealed by the company and the new Mahindra Scorpio will be made available in the five colors – White, Fiery Black, Molten Red, Mist Silver, Regal Blue and Diamond with the following 5 variants on the basis of seating configuration.

S2 - 7 Seater and 9 Seater with Side Facing

S4 - 7 Seater and 9 Seater with Side Facing

S6 - 7 Seater Side Facing and 8 Seater Front Facing

S8 - 7 Seater Side Facing, 7 Seater Captain Seats and 8 Seater Front Facing

S10 - 7 Seater Side Facing, 7 Seater Captain Seats and 8 Seater Front Facing

The features of these variants will also vary and here are some of the confirmed features of the each variant of this new Mahindra Scorpio.

S2 – Entry Level with m2DiCr 2.5 Litre 75 bhp engine

S4 – Entry Level with 2.2 Litre mHwak 120 bhp engine

S6 – 2 DIN audio system with body colored wing mirrors and door handles

S8 – Dual airbag, ABS and alloy wheels

S10 – Dual airbags, touchscreen infotainment, rain & light sensors, steering mounted control and reverse parking

The expected price of the car will be around INR 8.5 – 13 Lac and will take the copetition from the likes of Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster and Tata Safari Storme.
