Jawa Motorcycles Test Ride Video: Check Top Speed and 0-100kmph Acceleration

The iconic brand Jawa that was resurrected by Classic Legends, Mahindra, has introduced two of its products in Indian lineup namely Jawa and Jawa 42. Classic Legends were founded by Anand Mahindra in partnership with Anupam Thareja and Boman Irani. In association, Mahindra shares a huge stake of 60 percent. Jawa Motorcycles which produces motorcycles with 250+cc displacement will pit against the rivals like the Royal Enfield 350, Bajaj Dominar 400 and Honda CBR among others.

The revealed colour options for both the models at the launch event were including black, maroon and grey for the Jawa. While, the Jawa 42 were displayed in liveries like Glossy Metallic Red, Glossy Dark Blue, Matt Moss Green, Matt Pastel Blue, Matt Pastel Light Green and Matt Blue.

At the skin, Jawa Motorcycles features a circular headlamp, raised handlebars, chrome finished mirrors, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a flat seat. Beneath the fuel tank, the Jawa Motorcycles share the similar 293 cc single cylinder engine performs propelling duty on the Mojo, adventure tourer. The engine is rated to develop the maximum power of 27 hp and the vertex torque of 28Nm. The gearbox transmission is also the similar 6-speed gearbox of the Mojo.

A video which showcasing the top speed of Jawa has surfaced online via powerdrift. In the video, the top speed and acceleration measures of the motorcycle are denoted. As per the video, the Jawa motorcycles are capable of hitting the top speed of 121kmph meanwhile the acceleration from 0-60 kmph noted in 5.5 seconds, 0-80 in 7.7 seconds, 0-100 in 13.5 seconds. To touch the top speed mark of 121kmph, the motorcycle took about 30 seconds. In another video, Jawa top speed was recorded 143kmph. However, the automaker officially did not reveal any top speed figures.

The Jawa bike with 14-litres fuel tank uses 280mm floating callipers in the front and 153mm drum brakes at the rear. While a single channel ABS at the front wheel offers precise braking. At the suspension, there is telescopic hydraulic suspension and gas canister with twin shock.

The Jawa Parek, is the most powerful Jawa with a bigger engine. It will hit the country by June 2018. Beneath the fuel tank, a 334cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder, DOHC engine churns out 30 bhp and 31 Nm. with such power figures the performance of the Parek will be stronger than the Jawa and Jawa Forty Two. The production of Jawas is being handled at Mahindra plant in Pithampur near Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
