The students of K.J. Somaiya College have done a miracle. Big companies and automobile engineers can only dream about it but these students have manufactures a car which runs 200km in just 1 litre petrol.
This one seater car is designed by second year students of J.K. Somaiya College. The engine power of the car is 35cc and body is made of fiber glass. They named the car as- Jugaad 13. On one side fuel price are getting very high and other side these kinds of vehicles provide much relaxation.
This team of K.J.Somaiya College is going to Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia to participate in Shell Eco Marathon Competition. Total 150 teams are participating in the competition. Total 40 students of Electronics and Mechanical department are included in the team. Yamaha, Om Freight and Nyasa are their marketing partners. Om Freight has promised to send the car to Malaysia without any fee.
This single seater Jugaad 13 has three wheels chasis and rear wheel drive technology. It is a petrol car which gives 200kmpl mileage but other petrol cars in the market give average mileage of 20kmpl. Electronic fuel injection system is the main reason of its fuel efficiency. It is a light weight and aerodynamic model for better performance.
