Kawasaki Ninja Z250SL on Malaysian Roads

A new Kawasaki Ninja is all set to join the Ninja Series from the Japanese manufacturer, Kawasaki. The company has introduced a new naked version sports motorcycle, named as Kawasaki Ninja Z250SL. The motorcycle has made its entry again as a quarter-liter sports motorcycle in Malaysia.

The Kawasaki Ninja was first introduced in the year 1983 and had made its first appearance in the Indian market in 2008. This quarter-liter sports motorcycle was able to create a successful history of the company. Recently, a 300cc engine took over the place of the previous 250cc model, which is also available in the market.

In a little while back, the Kawasaki has launched Ninja Z250SL in Malaysia carrying a price label worth 15,397 Malaysian Ringgit, which will be around INR 2.9 Lakh. The quarter-liter motorcycle will get its power from a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which gives an engine displacement of 250cc. The engine which is being used is a fuel-injected engine and capable to generate 27.6BHP of total power @9700RPM along with a maximum torque of 22.6Nm @ 8200RPM. The braking system of the motorcycle has been taken care by petal disc brakes on both front and rear.

In terms of styling, the naked sports motorcycle weighs only 148KG, which is lighter than its faired 300cc sibling. The sports motorcycle is being built around a diamond pattern chassis made up of tubular steel frame. The bike is blessed with a perfect seat height of 785mm which is perfectly suitable for beginners.

However, it seems that the company is planning to launch these sports bikes for so long. A little while ago, Kawasaki has launched some more models with a badge over them, saying, Special 30th Anniversary Edition. The Kawasaki ZZR1400 and Z1000 have been launched as a Special Edition motorcycles. Now, let's see when these motorcycles will make their track towards India, and will they be able to hold themselves against KTM Duke Series and Suzuki Inazuma?
