KTM 2017 RC Series to be Launched on January 19 in India

KTM is finally going to launch its 2017 RC Series in India on January 19, 2017. The launching event is going to be held in Pune, Maharashtra, and company has already unvealed the brochure of the two upcoming models RC390 and RC200. The company has not unveiled a single word regarding the launch of the naked Duke 2017 at that time, but is expected to make its appearance soon here. The official website of company has also been updated with the newer version of RC 390 but the RC 200 still remains in its older look on the website.

The new 2017 model of RC390 is blessed with many mechanical as well as visual upgradations as compared to its previous model whereas, the RC200 model of the company only got a new paint scheme, even it still don’t features ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). The new KTM RC200 will be seen with an all-new White shade with Orange graphics and Black inserted on the headlight fairing and the fuel tank.

Talking about further specs, the new KTM RC 200 is powered by a 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine, which is capable of churning out 25 PS (24.65 bhp) of maximum power at 10,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 19.2NM at 8,000 rpm. The engine delivers power to the rear wheel with the help of a 6-speed transmission unit.

Furthermore, the bike also features a 300mm front disc brake and 230mm disc brake at rear side but still lacks ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) as standard in it. The current model of RC200 comes with a price tag of Rs 1.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), and the new model is also expected to get same pricing as there is no mechanical upgradation in it.

Coming next to the KTM RC390, the sport bike now features a jet black fuel tank and the parts under the rear seat are finished in Orange and White colour language and RC390 branding. The most amazing thing in the bike is its inner Orange Panel, which was actually black at its first shade and the exhaust of it has also been fitted to the international models.

The new RC390 is powered by a powerful 373.3cc liquid-cooled engine, which is capable of developing a maximum power output of 43.5 PS at 9,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 36 NM at 7,000 rpm. The Euro 4 engine of the bike delivers the power to the rear wheel by the help of a 6-speed transmission unit. The new model also comes with slipper clutch and ride-by-wire technology.

Moreover, the bike also gets 320mm of disc brake at front wheel and the rear wheel of its has also been equipped with 230mm of disc brake along with dis-engageable BOSCH ABS. The new KTM RC390 is expected to make its appearance with a slightly increased pricing as compared to its previous version and will be available with a price tag of Rs 2.25 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
