Lexus RC-F Spotted on Indian Soil

It goes without saying that Lexus has started importing its range cars here in the country. Earlier, Toyota, parent company of the Lexus, had imported 14 examples of the RX450h in India and now another player of the company, the RC-F has been clicked on camera. It was Spotted on service road making way to Madras Motor Sports Club’s track situated in Irungattukottai, Sriperumbudur. It made its first public appearance at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show and later on launched in other European markets at the starting price of 60,495 GBP (Approx 51.2 Lakhs).

At the hearts, a 5.0-litre 32-valve, V8 DOHC with dual VVT-i engine is situated to lead the car with a maximum power of 477 hp at 6,400 rpm and 530 Nm of torque comes from 4800 to 5600 rpm. The power will be dispatched at the rear wheels with the help of an 8-speed automatic transmission box. Along with this powertrain, the car can hit the 100 kmph figure from standstill in 4.5 seconds and go for a maximum speed up to 268 km/h.

Moreover, the Lexus RC-F is attached with features like torque vectoring differential that will let you help for handling on the track as well as to test the car in the hills. In addition, the automaker has offered this unit with a set of 19-inch rims featuring 255/35 tyres at the front and 275/35 at the rear. The braking duties will be performed by 4-pot 345 mm diameter discs brake at the rear and 6-pot 380 mm diameter discs at the front.

Well, nothing has been officially stated by the company whether the beast will be launched in the Indian car market or not, but once landed up in the segment, it will lock the horns with BMW M3, M4, Porsche 911 and Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.
