Mahindra Motors has launched the special edition of its Thar off-roader as Adventure Edition and being special, only 30 units of this car will be available for the sale and that too at the selected dealership across the country. The Adventure edition has been manufactured on the CRDe model and has many exterior and interior changes in it along with a map and a compass painted on the exterior body. Also, the other exterior features of the SUV include protector for headlamp and taillamps, chaff screen for rough weather and extended wheel arch for the much required adventures and tough looks for this special edition.
Inside the cabin, seats are colored in black and orange, campaign fit floor mates and a highly tech savvy center console for all the required navigation and moving with entertainment. These new features of the Adventure Edition Thar makes it able to counter all the catastrophic ramifications caused by weather and bump roads. Under the hood, the SUV gets 2.5 Litre 4-cylinder diesel oil burner producing 105 bhp power @ 3,800 rpm and 247 Nm torque @ 1,800-2,000 rpm. There would also be a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox sending power to all the wheels through its Borgwarner system.
The price of this special Edition hasn't been mentioned by the company, still the speculations are claiming it to be a bit costlier by the regular CRDe variant, which comes at INR 7.35 Lac Ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
