Mahindra to Launch Thar, XUV500 and Quanto Facelift This Year

India's famous car-maker Mahindra is now a trusted name in SUV and MUV car segment of India. The company has many cars in its fleet, namely Thar, XUV500, Bolero, Scorpio, Xylo and Quanto as well. This year, Mahindra is bringing facelift versions of 3 of its cars from above that are Thar off-roader, XUV500 SUV and Quanto MUV as well. The Quanto MUV will get AMT transmission system and will receive a few exterior updates and the front fascia will be the major one. However, it will continue to be a sub-4 meter car to get the perks of excise duty from the government.

XUV500 

Coming to Mahindra Thar, the famous off-roader never generate high sales volumes despite being a muscular vehicle which delivers fine performance with 2.5 Litre CRDe turbo diesel engine producing 105 bhp power and 247 Nm torque. The car will get some subtle exterior changes, while the interiors including new steering wheel and instrument panel will be inherited from Bolero. The engine wouldn't get any changes though.

Quanto Facelift

One the other hand, the XUV500 SUV, which is quite a famous entity in the market will also be updated and there are many chances that it will get a hybrid version as well. The car will also supposed to get AMT version and, though the 2.2 Litre turbo diesel engine remains to be same, churning out 140 bhp power and 330 Nm torque. The company is also planning to launch S101 crossover and U301 Bolero cars in the country as well.
