Mahindra XUV300 Scheduled To Launch on 14 February 2019 in India

The much-anticipated Mahindra XUV300 is all set to launch in India on 14 February 2019. The leaks so far claim that the widest SUV will come in four variants in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol SUV will be having a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine that churns out 110PS of power and 200Nm of peak torque. On another hand, the diesel SUV will come with a 1.5-litre engine that produces 115PS of power and 300Nm of peak Torque. The Mahindra XUV300 will be available only in a six-speed manual transmission variant. It is confirmed that the diesel XUV300 will soon be available in the Automatic transmission  gearbox.

Keeping in mind the safety of riders and passengers, the Mahindra XUV300 will come with a host of safety features such as 7 airbags, front parking sensors, rear disc brakes, tyre direction monitor and a dual-zone AC. Furthermore, the standard features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child seat anchors will be available in Mahindra XUV300.

Mahindra’s widest SUV will be equipped with many attractive features including electronic stability program (ESP), Hill-Start Assist (HLA), automatic projector headlamps, LED DRLs, rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers and more. Inside the cabin, the SUV will have a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

After the launch in India, the SUV300 would face competition from the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and the Honda WR-V. It is being speculated that the Mahindra XUV300 will be available in a price range of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 12 lakh.

It looks like the Marazzo will also come with an AMT gearbox which is followed by a torque converter, and in a similar manner, the Mahindra XUV300 Diesel Engine will be equipped with he Magnetti-Marelli sourced AMT gearbox. It is being speculated that Mahindra will soon launch the XUV300 in AMT variant after the launch of the manual transmission. As of now, It is not confirmed whether the petrol engine option of the XUV300 will come in AMT option or not.
