The wait for the much awaited car of the year finally seems to be over by now! The all-new 2017 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire will be launched in India on May 25, 2017. However, before that carmaker will held a media event on April 24, 2017 to drop the curtains from this much anticipated compact sedan. The bookings for the 2017 Swift Dzire have already been started at the authorised Maruti Suzuki dealerships across the country with a token amount of INR 5,000.
Although, the MSIL (Maruti Suzuki India Limited) has yet to officially confirm the launch date of 2017 Swift Dzire, above mentioned information is based on Express Drives news. What snapshots reveal is simply a lot, as we have seen in number of spied images over the past months. A complete new design thorough inside out can be noticed.
With a bunch of styling cues and several added details, the segment leader Dzire sounds more premium than before. And rivals!! This really isn’t a good sign for you.
This is the generation update to the sub-4-meter sedans, Swift DZire and looks quite similar in terms of design aspect to the Swift hatchback model which was showcased in Geneva Motor Show in March this year. Based on the company’s new Heartect platform, the 2017 DZire features a number of cosmetic updates along with the revamped styling cues.
Just like the current Swift and Dzire siblings share a number of similarities, the third-gen Swift and the new 2017 DZire appear in the same ways. The front fascia of the 2017 Dzire is identical to that of the new Swift.
While there are subtle changes between the two as well, you will notice added chrome surrounding grille and different bumper on the new Dzire. To make it more upmarket, it is equipped with feature DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) along with the LED projector headlamps.
The new high set boot grabs major attention at the rear. The rear profile of the new Swift DZire sounds more prominent with the flowing contour lines on the sides which merge with the boot lid. The images give a hint of LED tail lamps. Another highlight of the new DZire is the Shark-fin antenna.
Step inside and you will a dual tone beige and black interior colour theme with chrome, silver and faux wood inserts. The flat bottom steering wheel is wrapped in leather and features several controls. The dash is complimented by Suzuki’s 7.0-inch SmartPlay infotainment system which can be connected via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
On the mechanical front, the new 2017 Swift DZire will continue to get power from its existing powertrains.
