Maruti Baleno is doing wonders in the automobile market right from the day its bookings had started. Not only, it has beaten its rivals like Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz in the race, but it has also registered massive number of bookings. Recently, it has been reported that the premium hatch has received around 70,000 bookings till date. This has resulted in the waiting period extending up to 5-6 months for the prospective buyers and as per the officials, this is not going to come down anytime soon.
Woah! Smirk! Smirk! Looks like Baleno is the new ruler in the hatchback segment now. Even though, it's a premium offering and is available at limited Nexa outlets, the popularity is growing stronger with each passing day. The automaker had produced 11,203 units of the hatch, out of which 10,572 units were sold in the same month. Thus, Baleno has become India's best selling premium hatchback by beating Hyundai i20 model.
Even the company did not anticipate this much demand and hence, now it is planning to ramp up the manufacturing. It is also going to be exported to Japan, followed by the European, African and Latin American markets. The hatch is not only getting popular in India, but as per an official statement, it has also received export orders from more than 100 countries. If Baleno continues to perform in a similar manner, soon it might even Beat the most successful Swift model in the lineup.
